This project began as a digital curve.
Using parametric design tools, the geometry was developed specifically for the dimensions of the room and tested through a 3D printed model before fabrication, allowing the client to experience the piece long before the first sheet of plywood was cut.
What appeared on the screen as a precise line became something richer when confronted with the material. The bent plywood introduced its own constraints, tolerances and opportunities. A small loss of control that transformed the process from simple execution into a dialogue between design and matter.
The result is a bookshelf that behaves less like furniture and more like a landscape flowing across the wall: a continuous gesture shaped by geometry, craftsmanship and the natural intelligence of wood.
