Located inside Isaac Salido’s iconic Madrid salon, Nikoniko combined Japanese hospitality with a warm, handcrafted atmosphere.
The sculptural timber bar was carved from laminated wood using advanced CNC milling. Custom-developed toolpaths introduced subtle variations into the machining process, producing rich textures that recall traditional hand carving while maintaining the precision of digital fabrication.
The result is a unique surface language where technology and craftsmanship become indistinguishable.
Materials: Pinetree plywood, steel structure.
Design and fabrication: Professor Cuevas + Sergio Alonso del Campo (controlmad).
